ABOUT NATHAN
Nathan L. Nicholson is a creative director, filmmaker, author, artist, speaker and consultant whose work blends strategic clarity with compelling storytelling. Nathan’s career spans creative strategy, visual identity design, organizational communication, and cross-functional leadership. He has contributed to campaigns and initiatives for brands and institutions such as AT&T, Ford, GM, John Deere, Indiana University Northwest, the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), and COGIC France. His work in digital media has been especially transformative. Under his creative direction, organizations have experienced increased responsiveness and multicultural engagement across social media platforms. His commitment to inclusive representation and authentic storytelling has became a defining mark in his work.
Today, Nathan is the founder and creative director of Numa Art, LLC, an independent creative consultancy where he provides branding, visual identity systems, copywriting, design, filmmaking, and organizational research for nonprofits and startups. Numa’s video production and filmmaking division is also known as Numa Media Group. Through Numa Art, he has led full-cycle branding projects, produced documentary-style films, built pitch decks, executed photoshoots, and shaped communication strategies that help organizations clarify who they are and communicate with confidence. His work blends strategic vision with hands-on creative excellence, enabling clients to translate abstract ideas into tangible, scalable, and meaningful design solutions. He is also a sought out artist, specializing in mixed media and digital composite art. Nathan sales his art independently, as well as through online retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon, Overstock.com, and WayFair.
Nathan is also the author of In the Beginning We Create: Reflections on Collaboration, Creativity, and Rest (InterVarsity Press, April 2026). In this forthcoming work, he explores the inner architecture of creative practice—how teams build trust, how ideas take shape, and how sustainable rhythms fuel long-term innovation. As a speaker and consultant, he offers insight into creative leadership, collaborative culture, and the spiritual and practical dimensions of creative work.
A multidisciplinary artist at heart, Nathan is an award-winning graphic designer, an ordained elder in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), and the host of The Culture Critic Podcast. In 2024, he was the recipient of the 40 Under 40 COGIC Achiever’s Award, recognized for his contributions to faith, culture, and creative communication. Across every role, he remains committed to elevating stories that matter, empowering communities, and helping organizations live out their purpose with clarity, beauty, and integrity.
